These are all relatively scarce so I thought grouping them together might be interesting. I don’t have any but please post pictures of your Buck fillet knives models 122,123,125,126.127&129.

122 Ultimate Fillet (123 with Wood handle for Bass Pro)
123 LakeMate
123 Black Paperstone for Cabela's 50th (0123BKSCA-C) Similar profile to AG 126.
125 StreamMate
126 Alaskan Guide fillet for Cabela's
127 OceanMate
127 Ultimate Fillet (Wood handle for Bass Pro)
129 Fillet Knife with Spoon (modified 123)

Add a spoon to a model 123 and you have the model 129 fillet knife. It was in the general catalog from 1989 to 1991. Pretty scarce as I don't think I see even one a year. I have two of these in my collection, one with a serrated edge, the other not, Buck did some serrated knives about 1990, designated N1. 105, 110, 301, perhaps a few others so a few 123/129 blades sliped into that. I think the intended use was for Salmon fisherman to remove the Roe but I like to think that when the fish were not biting it came in handy for eating a can of beans.

bertl bertl What was the model number for the Cabela's Paperstone fillet? The Alaskan Guide was 126 and has the same profile.

Titanium Nitride coated blade c.2011. This one has the smallest date code I've ever seen. It is the small "dot" next to USA. You need a magnifying glass to make it out.

Roger, when I got this knife, it came with no information. Several years ago I asked about it, and someone (It may have been plb.) told me it was a "123 BKSCA Lakemate" and an exclusive for Cabela's. That's all I know, so if you have more, or better, information, I would be happy to hear your opinion.

That information helped. Did some digging. 2011 was Cabela's 50th Anniversary and there was a Black PaperStone limited edition fillet with laser blade etch and embossed sheath. Found it on the 2010 Special Projects list, 0123BKSCA-C qty 1,500. That one goes one my need to acquire list.

My first Buck was a 123. It was also the knife where I learned to never loan out my knives again. My brother and brother-in-law came to visit and borrowed my surf fishing gear for a fishing trip to coastal NC. When I got it back, the sheath was full of sand and the blade dulled quite significantly. I love my family but I have never loaned out a knife again if I wasn't around to keep an eye on it. Still have that Buck, lots of fish in the trying pan.

Model 123N1 LakeMate with serrated blade. This one is date code 1989. I did not find the 123N1 with a quick look in the catalog but 1990 shows 4 other "N1" code serrated knives. The 301N1, 105N1, 110N1 and 426N1. To find all 5 1990 serrated knives would be a collecting accomplishment.
