Hey guys im kinda bored and wanna put together a list of movies i should watch over the next few weeks, heres some of my favorites in no particular order..

District 9, There Will Be Blood, Gangs Of New York, The Departed, Collateral, Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid, Zombieland, Funny People, Step Brothers, The Count Of Monte Cristo,Taxi Driver, Shaun of the dead, Public Enemies,Defiance, V for Vendetta, the dark knight, The kindom, open range, Shooter, superbad, Ghost Town, Dodgeball,

So are there any im missing that i should see? mainly shoot 'em up movies entertain me, but comedy and the classics are good too, not into horror...but i am into stuff with a good plot:thumbup:

So yeah, any recommendations would be helpful

I haven't seen Collateral, Funny People, Step Brothers (heard good things about this one), Count of Monte Cristo, Defiance, Kingdom, Open Range (heard good things about this one too), Ghost Town or Dodgeball. I've seen There Will Be Blood (not worth watching), Public Enemies (never finished, not that much interest in it), V for Vendetta (some eye candy, but meh), Superbad (saw bits and pieces, want to finish it). The ones I highlighted in red and bold are must sees. Especially the Departed, Butch Cassidy, Taxi Driver ("wash the streets"), Dark Knight and Shaun of the Dead.

Out of the ones you havent seen i would say you should watch, the kingdom, collateral, and ghost town i thought was a pretty good plot...but i have to say out of my list of favorites Gangs of New York and The Departed are my favorites, i mean directed by Scorsese with DiCaprio and all the other fantastic actors, it just doesnt get much better, IMO

I just saw Raging Bull for the first time a couple days ago. Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, Casino, all great movies, especially Goodfellas.

The Departed is his best work IMHO. Great in the theater, great on dvd at home.

:thumbup: I was just thinking of the "Searchers" while reading thru earlier posts, great choice. "Zulu" is one of my favs. "Last of the Mohicans" with Daniel Day Lewis is another.

If you get around to TV series, "Firefly" is worth checking out. "Torchwood" on BBC is pretty good, too, IMHO.
