I just wanted to share my experience with Filson's customer service. I purchased a tin cloth packer hat back around the beginning of the year. After about three weeks, some stitching came loose. I contacted Filson, and the promptly replaced the hat. Unfortunately, the replacement hat developed a different problem. I contacted Filson via e-mail on Tuesday, May 21st, and explained that I needed to return my hat, but that I didn't want to pay shipping charges again for the second time in six months. They responded promptly and apologized for the problem and offered to replace the hat. They also asked me to send the old hat in so that they could figure out what had caused the problem, and they offered to reimburse me for shipping charges. Well, today I arrived at work after a lovely Memorial Day weekend to find a new tin cloth packer hat waiting for me. They had gone ahead and sent me a new hat before I even sent the old one in. That is an amazingly fast response, especially considering that we had a holiday weekend in there. Filson definitely stands behind their products, and they go the extra mile and then some to please their customers.
