I am about to buy a Filison Medium Field Bag. I know a few of you own some Filson luggage. I am trying to decide on a color. I like the tan but think that the green might look better after it gets broken in and soiled. I'm thinking that it might not show the dirt as much...For those that have experiance with Filson luggage, what does your bag look like after it has some miles put on it, and would you make the same color choice again?

I've got three pieces of Filson luggage, and all are the tan color. I just liked the color better than the green, no other reason. They are "aging" just nicely. All three are damn near indistructable. I have the XL outfitters bag, the regular briefcase and the gear bag (?), not sure what it is called... use it for my shooting bag.
Let us know how you like your choice.
 
I have the padded briefcase in Green. I just can't believe the quality of Filson merch. I have oiled my leather straps, used parifin on the zippers, and I even think that I've washed mine a couple of times. It still looks great. I've had it for 5 years and its been USED! ....but you can't tell it.
 
I have three pieces in tan and I just like that color. It does show dirt, though.

Yeah, I've had a tan field bag for years. It does show the dirt. If you wash it, you wash out the natural water repellant, I have been told. But even with the dirtier look, it's still way cool and I wouldn't choose the greeen.
