Is there a way to view the for sale forums in a way that only shows the items that are - I don't know - actually for sale? I'm so tired of clicking on an interesting must have item only to find that it sold a year ago. It seems like for 10 different sellers, there are 30 different ways to mark an item sold. I thought there might be forum rules about that - perhaps there are, and I missed it, hence the question.

IMHO in an ideal world all threads where the items are all sold would simply be locked. That way if the thread's locked, you don't even need to open it.

And you can do that for your own sale threads, but not everyone remembers, and it doesn't really solve the backlog issue...

Which sales forum are you looking at specifically? Did you change the Forum Display settings?

I ask because it's odd if you are viewing frequented forums with the default settings and coming upon threads with items that have been sold for a year. By default, the sale forums list threads descending chronologically. Newest threads at the top of page 1, older thread further down and on page 2 etc.

I do agree that it can be annoying to see a sweet rare item and then open the page to find out that it's been sold. Sellers can change both the title of the thread and the first post to show that the items been sold and can also close those threads.

I was being hyperbolic because I was frustrated. I was on the Chris Reeves forum, and only the top item listed was actually for sale. I went back a few pages at random and couldn't find anything that was for sale...
