Years back when I started sewing products for the knife industry on the dining room table the business exploded and I ended up moving into the basement.
It was a big shop that took up the floor space of an entite house level.
I thought I had it knocked when I sheet rocked the ceiling with firerated sheetrock added estinguishers etc.
But slowly the dust started to accumulate. I kept after it in the shop but it infiltrated upstairs invisibly.
We noticed this when we started having sinus and breathing trouble especially in the winter.
I only cut there now but it was hell getting the house back in shape.
We threw out carpets. Vaccumed the duct work. painted and slowly the symptoms went away.
Now my question. I'm doing other things there now and equally concerned What's your take on ventelating bluing, soldering, sanding grinding etc. and what pitfalls and solutions have any of you encontered if you used an attached or in home shop.
You dont have to say I should have known better. Nobody is more aware of than that than I am.
Thanks
