I just finished up the sheath for Jason's one of a kind Khukri that Ted won at the Blade show 2013

It's a full Black Shark with Brown Alligator accents with detachable Baldric carrier, and goes into the mail today headed for its new home.

Photos below.

Paul

Edit: To eliminate further confusion, he was the high bidder for the knife, and it darn sure was not free by a long shot.

Yep, great piece, great leather job. The envy of just about everybody, I betcha!

Did he win the chance to buy it, like a Bose/Hinderer, etc style lottery, or actually win the piece free?

Either one would be cool, but a free keyhole tang damascus Khukuri from a mastersmith is like catching a priceless diamond meteor in your coffee mug, instead of your eye...........

If $ 6500.00 dollars is free :)

Paul it is an excellent sheath for what I would say is the finest Khukuri I have ever seen by along shot

I have traveled abroad extensively and I have not seen a piece that is its equal even in museums

Most the stuff that is even in museum's is just jewel and precious metal encrusted not true high performance pieces

This piece IMHO sets Jason into a different class and will unlikely be duplicated

Huge thanks to all that participated is this auction and huge Congrats to Ted. He possible has the finest Khukuri that has ever been made on any continent and at any time.......period

Oh yeah, I agree. I have been looking at this photo for some time WOW. It does not have any jewels or other embellishments. It just does not need anything else ! I will use this photo as an inspiration.
Cheers Keith

It was my honor and privilege to work with three of the industry's finest gentlemen. Jason crafted a magnificent blade, Paul dressed it in a manner that married a masterpiece of a blade with a masterpiece of a sheath, and Joe was the mastermind who inspired and created the moment.

My contribution to this wonderful experience was having just enough skill to know how to send a simple text message (over and over again).

My deepest and most profound appreciation and gratitude goes out to Jason, Paul, and Joe for all of your skill, artistry, imagination, grace, and passion. I will treasure the blade, the sheath, and most importantly my association and friendship with the three of you for as long as I live.

And Paul... I really am sorry about Game 7 last night.

Congratulations Ted !
I certainly can't top, only agree with what has already been said by everyone.
Paul's sheath, impeccable as it is, is the perfect complement to this masterful and extraordinary piece.

Enjoy it, this package truly is a Treasure. :)

I hope you enjoy this magnificent piece for a very long time my friend

Thank you from the bottum of all our hearts

Quite an amazing piece of workmanship by all involved to create a true masterpiece of a long recognized unique style of fighting blade the world over.

Keyhole plus that killer blade grind, just a superb display of skill, and now high end leather work to complete the package.

Paul's a master, and when you put the two together you have a true masterpiece. But, in all respect, I would have liked to see this particular knife dressed in a matching damascus metal sheath.
