A knife I have dubbed my "Defender".
W1 blade steel forged down from some 1 1/8" round stock. I've really been chasing my hamons around the shop lately, but was totally successful on this attempt! This was etched and hand-rubbed to 1200 and the hamon is nicely subtle, yet distinctive, but still beyond my photographic boundaries.
Anyway, satin, double stainless guard backed up by a solid piece of 100 year old Bakelite (Catalin). I have a pretty good stash of this but don't dip into it very often.
Oh, and a 1/2 blade clip.
Yes, take-down.
6 inch blade and 10 3/4" overall.
See it at 23-Q!
