Just curious. I know the S110V total was just under 600. How about the ZDP sprint run?

Not gonna live that one down am I? :D

As long as DV sticks with one tooth women I should be safe.

Fabulously,

JC

You are a one-toothed woman, Liberace? :eek::confused::eek:

Don't worry...there's more than enough real single cuspid wemmen around here to keep me busy! :D

As far as final totals, well, I guess I am one of 598! .....OB. PS... handle is so smooth, I believe in any situation where moisture, like sweat etc. is involved, the knife could be a bit dangerous to handle. Don't believe it is going to be an EDC

it's a friggin' weapon... Somehow I just didn't know what the Shallot was going to be like. I have been carrying a medium stockman, for years. A couple of weeks ago I got a Splinter with a Quince handle, which was a step up from the stockman (size wise). So when I ordered this Shallot, I thought it would be something like the Splinter. Imagine my surprise when I opened this Shallot..... WOW. It's time to go bear hunting. And when I flipped the blade open, that thing jumped out of there like it was ready... OK, I know this is not news to you guys, but this is a truly nice knife. It is not as sharp as my straight razors, but it did cut some hair, when I ran it over my arm.... IT IS SUPER SHARP! YEAH, I'M EXCITED...DUMBFOUNDED  and quite pleased:p. just wondering about carrying it.. may be against the law. As far as final totals, well, I guess I am one of 598! I feel honored.
OB

Sorry to hear about your problems, openblade.:D Once that Kershaw bug bites ya, you're pretty much out of luck as far as a cure goes. You'll be racking up new knives for your collection like nobody's business!!

Glad you like your new Shallot!

You won't find me very serious around here...but...

A knife is a tool.

A weapon is any object employed to damage a biological target.

They can be the same thing, but they are not mutually inclusive. I hate seeing knives labeled as weapons. My 26oz framing hammer is far more "dangerous" if we want to talk about "weapons". Ever seen anyone freak out over a hammer?

Perception is reality. Let's not add to a bad rap.

+1...we're not trying to be rude, just accurate

Of course you are right J.... thanks for the clarification, did not mean anything by that...and would not want to label this as a combat knife. YES, perception is reality... I might freak out if a hammer is in the wrong hands. But I must say, this knife does not fall into the same category as my stockman knives. I am not sure but think I read that there has been some law maker and law enforcement objection to A/O knives. (Please correct me if I am wrong).
Bottom line, my intention was to say, this is no ordinary knife, and could be viewed by some folks, (law enforcement) as an item of some interest. But hey, maybe they are collectors themselves.....
This knife has a great feel and a great look, and in my opinion, extremely well made. I hope it holds an edge, as the shape of the blade may be somewhat hard to sharpen. (At least for me) Maybe the ceramic sticks are the way to go on this one. Anyone have any suggestions on that one:confused:
Thanks, OB

It's a real PITA to sharpen though. I can get it sharp, but I struggle to remove the burr...it just rolls left, then right, then left...grr.

I always thought Liberace had a light touch, maybe I was wrong.
