My daughter and I returned from our little Grand Teton National Park camping and hiking adventure a week ago, but I haven't really had a chance to sit down and load some photos until now. So here is a few final looks at the scenery.

After the gratuitous tourist shots:D, there are a few shots of the parks regular inhabitants and scenery.

Of course, as I've said before, I love mountains, so I have to include a few shots of them from the trail. And then another park inhabitant keeping an eye on us.

Excellent pics ... I hope to make it out there one day.

Thanks for sharing.

It seemed plenty cool enough to us, but we came across this cow moose taking a snow bath:)

Cool enough that the lakes were still mostly frozen.

My daughter is turning into a pretty good little outdoors girl, handling 5 mile hikes with her own little day pack and she always wants to be the one to use the firesteel. She is just starting to work on feathersticks.

A few more shots of the Tetons themselves and then another young cow moose we encountered on one of the trails.

Last a few panorama shots for those that love the Teton skyline like me.

Thank you to those that showed an interest in our welfare while we were on the trip and gave advice as well:thumbup:

Looks like a pretty awesome place to go. Thanks for sharing the pics

I love the Tetons! We go Jackson Hole every year for a week in August with my wife's family. One of my favorite places on earth! Thanks for the pictures.

How awesome. Have you been there before? Its on my bucket list.

Yes, I've been there before. First time as a 12 year old with my parents and I never forgot it. Then again with my wife before my daughther was born. So I figured it would be memorable for her to go with just Dad.

If you haven't been there, don't miss it. The Teton range is one of the most memorable set of peaks in North American IMO.

I heard someone say once that "God must live at Jenny Lake" (the lake and campground right at the base of the actual Teton peaks); and, if you've ever been there its hard to disagree.

Mine too! Especially if you can get into the backcountry a little and away from the crowds (or do like we did and go off peak).

Normally, in the summer if you want a tent site at Jenny Lake you have to be there at 7am and hope someone leaves and grab there spot. But in May (or I assume September onward) you have your pick of spots. That's why I pulled my daughter out of school and we went when we did. Despite the bad weather it was worth going then.

Nice pics. I'm glad to hear you had a good time and the weather was somewhat cooperative.

After that first night of rain/snow the weather was actually pretty decent. It was 95 and humid back in MN according to my wife; I'll take 50 over that anyday.

BlackHills, thanks for your thoughts and interest in my earlier threads:thumbup:.

That looks to be a trip for the little one to remember forever. My daughter and I go do things (just us) quite frequently. I wouldnt trade those memories for anything. Good for you...glad you had a great trip.

Im jealous i havent been there in a long time i grew up there until i turned 18 and joined the army i havent been back since 2002.

Wow some really great pics! Haven't been to that area of the country since I was a child. Looks like I need to get in touch with my youth and re-visit that treasure trove again.
