Okay, here is the scoop, just in case you weren't here for my last thread about these fellows. The handles and blade on the BM 30S, when opened, were not in a straight line, if you had the bali locked open and you were looking at the back of the bali (spine of blade) then the open 30S would look like this:

with the 2 lines that are vertical are the handles and the crooked line on top is the blade, it wasn't that exaggerated but it was very noticeable.
The BM 45 2nd I was manipulating and alluva sudden I looked down and noticed that the tang pin had cracked in half and half of it had fallen out
I sent both Bali-Songs to BM to see if they could fix them and all I had to pay was $7.50 for shipping and handling. They fixed the 45 just perfect and put a fantastic finish on the handles, it looked just like a nib 45, there were no scratches or marks anywhere on the bali (before, when I got the 45 it had lots of scratches on the handle, if I can I will get a pic of them up). The 30S had a huge problem though, the problem was with the handles and they had nothing that could fix it, so they offered to give an older BM 30, one of the earliest ones. It has a hollow ground blade, yep, that's right hollow ground BM 30, it was sharpened by Jody Sampson (the blade was most likely made by him but I do not know that for sure). The tang stamp on the 30 is very small and a little crooked and on the reverse it says "made in usa". The tang pin hole was drilled off center and so the tanp pin is off. It was a little tight but now it is working great because (since it took almost 2 months) BM sent a 1 oz. bottle of Militec-1, 3 BM stickers, a BM logo lapel pin, a new sheath for the 30, and an awesome, older sheath for the 45 2nd and each of the knives came in new BM knife boxes!!!!!!
Here are some pics of all of this stuff, I didn't get any of the Militec-1, lapel pin, or stickers. If you want a picture of those things I'll take one for you.
Here is the offset tang pin:
Notice how much smaller the 30's pins are from the newer 3" Bali-Songs:
