Hello all,
I've been looking threw past threads to figuare out what the deal is with this 420. I've been wanting to pick up their kobun as my first real belt knife. Basically I'm looking for something to use at work, and when I go out shooting...and to carry when I have the grapes to do so (my state it IS legal to carry a single edged fixed blade,in the open, an size, but still gives me the willies ever since they tried to nail me from concealed weapon) The kobun looks like what I want. Fairly cheap, I thought, I like the style. Seems like it would take abuse. The problem is I know about 420, and most people on here report its still a poor steel for a knife, no matter what CS says. Some say their knives have turned out great. Is CS adding more carbon in, or are other people confused? I'd like the carbon v model but looks it won't be for a while. Job status in the air as well as future plans. Only knife I have now is my pitbull which is rather too small for me. The kobun looks like a real decent size knife for me. I keep getting knives that aren't what they seem, or just dont' work for me. Trial and error I suppose. I'll get my carry fixed blade sometime. I hope.
