Hi,

Just received my Hossom Dayhiker, and I think it's one of the best little knives I've seen in a while ! (No wonder, the blade is almost identical to the shape of the blade of the BM Skirmish... My all time favorite ;) , but in flat ground profile)
One thing I noticed, is that it came with a convexed edge... Is it original from factory ?
And I read a lot of opinions on the N690co, but one thing to notice by the looks, is that it has a different shine.
The handle is a little thin to my hands, but not bad at all, and the the kydex sheat is not firm enough.

I think I'll make some ebony scales and a leather sheat for it.

I'm looking into a Forager and a Forester right now. They must be awesome !!!

I take it you're talking about Spyderco knives? Or are they made by Jerry Hossom?

All of those Hossom fixed blades came with a convex edge from Spyderco. I had a Forager (2nd largest?) for a bit. It was very nice, but just too big for any of my outdoor uses.

Convex edge is factory original. I found mine to be rather thick and spent a goodly amount of time thinning it out. The handle scales and bladestock are both much thicker on the larger models.
