Well, today I've FINALLY entered the world of 2008, as I no-longer have the slow 44k dial-up that I've had since 1998, and I also bought a NICE Dell 8200 Dimention desktop computer (for ONLY $200!!, locally)...And the computer came loaded, and with EVERYTHING...19" Dell monitor, Dell wireless keyboard & wireless mouse, tons of software, etc. My old 1998 Gateway computer is now in storage.

Now, I'm livin' large.:D.

Congrats Glock, I am happy for you, Welcome to the Real World, dial up is terrible, especially if you like to look at lots of pictures.;)

Hmm, I bet that 1998 Gateway would make a good BeOS machine.

Your 'new' computer actually cost $3058, six years ago. :D

It really is amazing what Dell charges for those upper-end systems, even today when any kid knows how to assemble a system. :( I saved $1800 by building my own.
If a twelve-year-old can do it...

Welcome to the world of high-speed, where you can now experience the pleasure of screwing up your machine in 1/100 the time! :D:D
