Finally a Peanut!

This weekend I am working a tradeshow on SC. When I showed up at the convention center there was a gun show in the next hall over! What a temptation to skip out on my work duties!
So I snuck over there at lunch. Wow what a lot of guns! Back home in CA the gun shows are pretty dismal with almost no guns. This show had a ton of guns and knives. One booth had a lot of Remington knives but none fit my fancy.
After searching the hall I found a knife dealer with a Case yellow CV peanut. I snatched it up as my reward :) for another weekend on the road :grumpy:.
I was planning to search out some local Case dealers in the area but the gun show was a convenient suprise. I may still check out some local dealers anyway; it is a long trip.

So finally I have come over to the peanut team. What a great little knife!
In fact I may still get another one in red bone CV if they have one at the Bass Pro near Ft Worth when I am there next week on business.

When ever I must travel for business I treat myself to a few impulse purchases to keep sane. I certainly don't need more knives I just need to treat myself for working and traveling 3 out of the last 4 weekends!

Thank God I can log in to BF's and feel at home while traveling.

Glad we can make you feel closer to home and a warm welcome into the secret order of the peanut!!

Uh oh, billym, do you know what you have gotten yourself into? Yes it is an elite club you have joined by buying that Peanut, and yes there are many here who you can talk to, and sure it is an AWESOME little cutter..... but now comes another Peanut..... then another.... and another.... and pretty soon you'll have more Peanuts then dollars. Are you ready for that, billym? Are you ready to start down that road? Actually, nevermind, it's too late, you're already ON that road, wanting the Red bone and such.
Poor guy.

Yes I have been on that road for a few months now. Not peanuts per se but since September I have bought about 10 slipjoints including 5 Case folders in CV.

Since starting to EDC a slipjoint (still carrying my mini Griptilian too most of the time) they have become my sort of "worry stone".

Yup, there is something comforting about handling and stroking (blade closed, thank you.) a warm slipjoint. I've referred to mine on occasion as worry stones that also cut.

So, far I have been able to stay with just one, lil, yaller handled, CV Peanut. Then I make it a point not to go looking through the Shepherd Hills catalog, or at online gatherings of peanuts to much. That makes the temptation to build a herd of the little cutters come strong.

Welcome to the order of the little knife that can.

billym - you have discovered the secret to a long & healthy life: a steady diet of Peanuts.

thx - cpr
