Well did some trading to get this one from SC-Rebel(Ron). Great person to deal with by the way. Now for this CQC7. It isn't an A model or a B model just says CQC7 on it. It is a CE blade and if I am not mistaken it is about .5" longer than the last CQC7A I owned. This has green scales with what I would consider nicely polished liners, which all my other EKI's didn't have. Except for maybe a Comm. This has a far better edge on it than any previous ones I have owned. Also an extremely good point to it. Again good enough to stick easily into my cutting board. The edge is good enough to easily shave hair and slice paper with 0 drag on it. The serrations are on the smallish side but like the plain edge they are rippers. Very sharp indeed. Lock up is just a bit past mid point on the choil and is rock solid. Took it all apart and cleaned it and then teflon taped everything down after a bit of lube in the right places and voila a new EKI fan is born. They should all be this good! Keep'em sharp

Ok fellas' so what kind of CQC7 do I have? It was made in 2001, has abuot 3.75" blade and is marked CQC7. It also has a bit of drop point to it. Nicest EKI I have seen yet as for fit and finish on a manufactured knife for the EKI line. Keep'em sharp

longbow, you might be interested in the Super cqc7 when it come out this fall. I can't wait.

Well I know it is a CQC 7. Doesn't have an A behind the # and it isn't on the EKI web site. I have owned a bunch of EKI's over the past few yrs and as stated this is without a doubt the finest of the bunch. Have a Raven and a CQC7A comming too. This blade has a dropped spear point on it and is right about 3.75" long. Has a combo edge. Has the Emerson logo and is numbered 1595 under the thumb disk. Thanks for the input though. Keep'em sharp

Does it look like this? If it does its a CQC7-A. Mine has been a great EDC over the last year or so.
