Just a long reintroduction! I was really involved with bladeforums 15 years ago when my kids were young or not born yet. I made quite a few kydex sheaths and collected quite a few spydercos. I've recently gotten into OTF autos as I use knives at work all day every day and really appreciate the ease of use. Long story short; when my Delica 3 got run over by a mower 20 years ago it started my knife replacement quest. First tried the Griptilian and hated it. 15 years of Spydercos followed. Eventually stumbled on a Kershaw Skyline and still think it's one of the best edc knives ever (have 3). Still hoarding Delica 3's (hate the delica 4) and love The endura, PM2, Caly3 and Dragonfly but here's the point of my post. After my first microtech ultratech I realized it wasn't a slicer then I found the AKC extreme evo which is the best budget edc otf (have 4). Somehow noticed the Benchmade Shootout and It's nice thin Slicy blade and better Cruwear steel and it's been a downward slope the last few weeks. Bought my son a Bugout and then a Bailout for me and another Shootout. All this to say; Benchmade prices are insane but 3 of the 4 I bought were reduced prices $210 for the Bailout and the shootouts and I have to say I feel they were a steal. The Shootouts are perfect for edc in my case and the bailout might be even more fidgitable. Couldn't be happier with any of these new benchmades whether axis lock or auto Otf. My PM2 seems a little less appealing lately. Akc extreme evo and Delica 3/Salt 1 still can't be beat.
Sorry so long but I'm back.
