On a 110Lt.

Overall I like it, it seems to be fine for pocket carry but I'll have to give it a few days.

The one thing that worries me is the 2017 date code.

If this 110lt has sat in the case for a year and a half or so in my local Walmart, just how long do you think it'll be before they get the ebony 110's in ? :(
Certainly not before Father's day, so I'll have to check another Walmart when I can or order one online.
I'm actually kind of glad I got an early 110lt though, it's almost like i didn't wait a year and a half to buy one :D
If I'm remembering correctly that it didn't take too long to get into the 2018 blades anyways
I'm impressed with the LT, it doesn't have the familiar heft of my standard 110 but if it means I can actually have a 110 in my pocket once In a while vs on my belt I can live with it.
Not that it'll take me long to get used to.

That's why I haven't considered a LT. I use that heft to open mine one handed. I don't think my method would work without it.

O.B.

Hold the knife by the blade and can do the Spyderco thing just fine.
Probably not as easy as with a standard 110, but easy to do if that's really You're thing.

nice. enjoy er. great knife for lightweight carry. comes in handy sometimes. lugging around less weight.

has it been roughly 1.5 - 2 years since these came out? 2017, wow time flies. feels like to me these just came out.

dont feel too bad I checked about every buck stocking box store in 2 counties, all still have the dymondwood type 110s still.

I know st8yd mentioned out his way the ebony ones are in stock. gonna have to drive a county or two over and hunt one down. hmmmm maybe this weekend.....

I'll have to do the same.
Going to a BBQ at my uncle's new house / property next weekend and I'll have to check that Walmart, don't go there often but while I know it's unlikely there's a chance they've got one.

Oh and the ebony 110 is going to be my dad's father's day gift, he's been without a 110 since leaving for the army in '78 and I've decided 41 years is just too long.

I haven't been able to use my 110 LT Racer version..The Band won't get them till close to Christmas..But I really like the 112 LT.

Thanks.

ahh. missed that in your post.

nice gift for your old man. should make him proud .

How many years was the 110 using the Macassar handles or years between the full ebony handles?
According to David Martin's reply in a recent thread Mecasser Ebony was used from the start In 1964 through 1993 , the diamondwood laminate coming out in 1994.

That would be 29 years for Ebony and 25 on the laminate I guess.

I think the Lowe's in Mt. Dora had them but don't hold me to it, that's a little closer to your neck of the woods.

Hey does Lowe's generally have them priced similarly to Walmart ?
If so I know where one is that I can check, I've never really thought of them as a source of knives and keep forgetting they sell them.

Have you priced one online at Buck? 41.00 for the standard version.

I thought Buck was a lot higher on their site for some reason.
I didn't really want to order it because shipping brings the cost up, but Ive always thought they were a steal at $36 +/- from Walmart so a few extra bux is no big deal.
