For some reason I have only owned 4 Kershaw knives in my 40+ years of collecting and acquiring knives. The first 2 I got way back in the late 70's/early 80's and I think they were made in Oregon back then? A few years back I picked up a Scallion but wasn't keen on the assist. I was poking around the forum and decided to try another. The Skyline seemed like a good EDC but I wanted something other than black. Saw the new brown/black and almost pulled the trigger but then I found the orange and since I have sold or traded all my orange knives I decided on that one. It is a really good knife, not just "for the money" but just plain good. I really like the manual flipper and it took all of 30 seconds to master it. I put it to task today while clearing out the garden for the winter. Cutting twine and all kinds of plant stalks as well as a little bit of wood shavings while starting a fire. Besides a little dirt and scuffs on the G10 it did very well. I am used to jimping on my Spydies but with the deep cutout from the flipper, the grasp is great. I certainly don't need to get addicted to another brand but I am wondering what other Kershaws might work for me...

Nice Skyline! I'm sure you'll have a couple more in the next couple of months.. You should take a look at the Tanto Zing KershawGuy has...great little knife.

Welcome to the dark side... again. Most of the Kershaws are still made in Oregon. If you dont like AO, the Junk Yard Dog is a great flipper. Bigger than the skyline but a very smooth knife.

If you like the skyline you MUST get yourself as many Zings as you can before they are gone. I prefer the tanto because it does not have the striations.
