Not sure why I put it off so long. But hearing everyone rave about how awesome it was, I had to give it a try. A few clicks on Dale's "knifeconnection" site and a couple days and it is in my hand.

Pretty sweat by the way. I've been carrying it around in my jeans pocket now for a day or two and I don't even notice it's there. The scales are a nice add on , but the knife is great and low profile without the micarta. I got #14,000 something... seriously must be a popular knife.

I normally keep a small CRKT folder in my motorcycle jacket, but I think this will take its place. One thing I try to avoid is having hard bulky items in my riding jacket, when I biff it, hard objects between me and the ground don't agree with my ribs very well (learned the hard way). The izula is a perfect fit.

Now I'm fighting off the urge to get the orange and the grey to stow away in other places. Knowing the laserstrike and other ESEE folders are on the horizon may help curtail the ESEE fever for a while.

Thanks for a great little knife.

Norsman, better hope your wife/girlfriend/roommate didn't see you stick that knife blade in that piece of furniture . . . :D
Great looking knife, I got a pink Izula for my wife for Christmas this year, but when I get mine, it will have to be the II for the extra 1/2" of length. By the way, it won't do any good trying to fight off the urge to wait on other models to come out, if you have handled that Izula already, the ESEE addiction formula is already speeding thru your bloodstream . . .
Be safe.

I have an IzulaII in the front pocket of my jeans. The end of the handle barely sticks out and my jean pockets are really small. The slim profile of even the II with the micarta handles makes it easy to put anywhere. I keep an Izula with micarta scales in a jacket pocket. They are really easy to just stow away and not notice/forget about.

Sweet knife indeed. My desert tan didn't like the cardboard boxes I was cutting down and now I have colored lines on the blade. Thinking about getting an Izula II in black so I don't have to worry. Congrats!

Really? Well I went with the black one, was thinking serious about tan. Heck, maybe there will be a rainbow Izula if there isn't one already out there.

Btw, how thick do those scales protrude past the thickness of the sheath, when carrying? I still got mine cord-wrapped with OD paracord that came with it.

i'm resisting the urge, so far. i've bought 1 for my mom, 1 for my wife, and talked my brother in law into buying 1 for my little sister. every now and then, i throw my wife's around my neck, just for laughs. it's TOTALLY not what i'm into, i don't like little knives, i've never liked paracord wrapped handles, but for some reason i'm diggin hers. it's total chick'd out (pink with pink camo paracord wrap), so she doesn't have to worry about me stealin it, but i might have an OD or Tan in my near future :) they're cool little knives

Congratulations. I got mine about a week ago, and it's true what everyone says they bite. I got cut putting it in the sheath. Careless of me now I totally respect her. :o

everyone should have this knife.

to echo a previous question... could you please take a picture looking down on the spine while the knife is sheathed if you have a chance? i've been wondering how much wider the scales make it as well.

the orange will contrast nicely with your blue 'stich, or would compliment a hi-viz yellow one too!

this from a guy with a couple of orange Izulas, an orange Camelbak and a hi viz yellow/lime Scorpion Exo 700.

i wonder if i get hi viz safety points of i bolt a pair or orange Izulas on the back of the KLR facing rearward? nahhh, need to mount a pair of Junglas back there!

Your Izula looks nice. And the way to make downing a bike not painful, is to not down (biff) the bike. :) Your ribs and heath insurance co will thank me.
