I finally decided to get some calipers at HD tonight when I was over there. They only had one kind, a cheapie for about $26. Its only plastic, but it is accurate enough (.01" & 1/64")and I don't carry the thing around on a tool belt all day, so I expect it should last for some time. Funny how "relieved" I feel to actually have one of these things for a change rather than always "guesstimating" with a ruler.

If anybody needs anything measured with a precision instrument for free, just go ahead and send your Busses and I'll take care of the rest.
