Was really into traditionals for along time then got bite by the tactical bug, bought a few expensive production folders and realized that they are either just to big and bulky or they sit in a box and don't get used. Slid the little case yella peanut in my pocket today and felt like comming home....my only regret is now I have these "tacticals" and I could have bought some really nice slippies instead.....Oh well.....live and learn I guess. Feels good to be back!

Welcome home!

If you no longer have an interest in your tactical knives, consider putting them up for sale. You could get some nice traditional knives with the cash. This is a great "era" for traditional knives. Lots of great new stuff coming out all the time.

All life is a learning process. If we're lucky, we end up better off in the end for the gained experience that life teaches us.

Welcome home, bud. You can always sell the ones that don't mean anything to you anymore, like was suggested. Even 50 cents on thee dollar is better than all of it sitting in the bottom of the sock drawer unused.

Carl.

welcome back Combat

welcome back to the light side of the force...errr knife addiction :D

Well combat... I made the way just from the other direction. I feel well, where I´m now. But some tactical folders are still in their boxes, untouched. Now I wish I had spent the money on some more good slippies. As Carl says, life is a learning process.

I really like the traditional section much more than all the others.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
And BTW: Welcome back, brother!

Kind regards
Andi

Welcome back. :)

Don't forget, one handers can and do travel well together.

I recently had a relapse to. I keep a spyderco meerkat just in case I might need a one handed opener one day. I broke down and purchased a manix 2 in CTS. Got it in and haven't used it yet will most likely trade it or sell it so I can get a nice fixed blade camping knife that I actually need.

Just a thought, some of the nicest Case knives I own I got in trade here on the forums when I decided to get free of some tacticals that were wasting away, unloved, in a drawer. A couple Copperlocks, nice blue bone small stockman...swayback jack...funny I honestly don't remember most of the one-hand models that went the other way.:D

Oh yeah, welcome back. Pull up a chair and get yourself a whittlin' stick.

I use a one hander quite often, but it interests me or moves me as much as does a hammer or screwdriver - functional nothing more. With Traditionals however, it is the quest for authenticity, pleasure in use and beauty of the knife that enthralls! Not a bad pursuit in my book.
