I finally bought my first Endura. I don't know why it took me so long. Everytime I planned on buying a knife I started with all intentions of getting a delica or endura but the last three times I ended up with a 550 grip, kershaw leek, and a Manix 2 lightweight. I don't regret any of those purchases but yea... I'll have pics when it gets here in the next few days if anyone cares to see it.

I think I'm gonna polish up the clip and round the spine on it. Possibly shape the spine to get a pointier tip as well. I don't know how I feel about the look of the 4's tip. I like my PM2 pointy tip. I'll carry it around for a few weeks first though to see about the spine modifications. Definitely going to polish up the clip. I also am considering grinding in a finger choil, any tips on that if anyone has done it? I will have to see about that first though. I might not miss my choils as much as I am thinking I will.

Now I have to get a matching delica, and then I still need to get a waved set and a serrated set and maybe a few other flavors of the FFG 4's.

Other than my few questions feel free to openly discuss your Endura/Delica stories, I like reading other people's knife stories and seeing pics. Show off your mods as well. I don't know why but I have the urge to mod this one and I haven't even held it yet. BladeHQ still has it...

I'd say don't put a choil on it. I don't know how much you use your choils on your other knives, but I don't use mine much. I used to work in a grocery store, where I'd use my blades heavily on the weekend when I worked in the freezer. For about 3 months straight I only used either a Delica or Endura because they were easy to use with my gloves. Overall, you will love the knife and probably recommend it left and right like I do

I wouldn't put a choil on it, or do anything to the tip. The tip on mine is just fine as is, and I wouldn't want to take any edge away by making a choil. Thats just me though.

I got mine when they first came out in the early 90's. Mine has no liners and is super light for its size. Its the smoothest lock-back I've ever seen. Opens smooth as silk, and the blade fully drops when the lock is depressed.
The plastic clip hasn't broken either. The blade is very scratched up, but other than that its as it was when new but even smoother now. I still use it at times.

My first "Endura" was actually the Pacific Salt, but it totally got me hooked on that knife. Not long after, I picked up a ZDP and a regular VG-10. And as much as I love the forward choil on the Stretch, I think the Endura feels great the way it is. I'm just a sucker for the longer Spydie blades: Endura, Millie, Police. I gotta get me a Calypso one of these days, too.

Well i got it today and im really liking it so far, its a little stiff but itll work in. Also i wouldnt be taking any edge away with the choil id be using the handle and the bottom unsharpened portion. The forst thing i notice is the lack of a choil but like i said im going to use it for a while before i do anything to it. I do think i will round the spine but i might leave the clip black its not a painted one its almost like a dlc, a matte finish, its got texture to it.
