Thanks to an awesome forum member, Busted_Knuckle, I was finally able to get myself a Damascus Zing and finish the set. The Zing is my favorite unassisted Kershaw of them all. They are great little knives that are silky smooth and quite durable. If you haven't tried one yet, I highly recommend getting one before they are impossible to find. I apologize for the crappy cell pic, but I wanted to get at least one pic of the family together. And yes I have the ss version as well.

Two questions, is one superior over any of the others, and does the Zing Groove grooves make a difference in cutting? Really cool collection!

Thanks. I personally don't think any one of them is superior to another. Some sure are a lot harder to find than others. As far as the grooves go, I'm not sure they serve any purpose other than cool factor. There is an old thread that discussed the grooves and why RJ put them in. I can't remember what he said so I can't say for sure. Just cool little knives.

Pretty sure the grooves were just for to make it look interesting, no functional difference.

I have all the easy Zings, missing the three harder to find ones (orange, half serrated tanto and DAM).

The Zing Dam is in its new home with its new family. I know its in good hands. Very cool pic. I'm glad to be able to help finish your collection.

Quick someone make a joke so i can say "ZING!"

Nice colection Dave, i always liked the zing, but it was too small for me to carry so it got bumped. Great knives though, i especially have a soft spot for the green ones :)

Nice collection. The Zing is a very addictive little knife to flip (maybe even more so than the Skyline).

Heh. I ended up making a FrankenZing with the OD green scales and grooved blade.

I didn't want to admit it, but since you said it first... I too must agree with you on that. The Zing is a little bit better to flip. The skyline will always be the winner in my book though. :)

Nice frankenZing btw
