Went bumming around the gunshow today and there amongst all the spare mags and parts was this slightly faded, torn green BKT box. Inside, a new Magnum Camp with some traces of rust on the edge. On the handle was a nice yellow sticker that said $65, but the sticker was a bit faded too so I figured that he had been hauling it around for a while.

Talked to the guy for a few minutes and took it home for $55!:D

I LOVE this knife. Now, if I can just find a spare......

Congrats!! Nice score. Re: finding a spare - you could try the Wanted To Buy forum here to see if someone has one they're willing to part with. Just a thought...

If you find yourself getting bored with your new BK-5, I have a NIB BK-9 that I'd trade you for it.:D.

Thanks for the offer Glockman, but as long as it took me to track this thing down I think I am going to hang on to it for a while!:D

Good on you - the Magnum Camp is my all time favourite Becker for the outdoors. I'm sure there's a whole lot out there on dealers' shelves... for some reason, some people just don't like the look of the upswept point.

A sad demise for an awesome knife!

And great price too! Now, do yourself a favor and send it off to Jerry Fisk, and have him put his famous radish-slicin' mouse-shavin' convex edge on it... then you will have a fearsomely sharp best dang Becker there ever was.
Congrats, I hope that I am one day that lucky. I will use Mr. RevolverGeek as an inspiration at all future gunshows and flea-markets etc.

Glad that I got a chance to be an inspiration to you!;)

I will send it off at some point, but I think I will play with it a bit first. I will probably look a modifying the sheath a little too, or getting one made with a tecloc or something of that sort so it rides a little higher.
