Connie was off work today, and since it is my 60th birthday, she took me out to breakfast, then afterwards she asked what I wanted to do today. I suggested we drive over to Crown Point Indiana to check out some of the antique stores, and swing by Cabelas to check for ammo on the way back. In the second store we were in, she pointed to a case and said there was one of those square handle Bucks I like in it. It had the plainest wood on it I ever saw (kind of poor lighting in the store), and a few nicks in the blade, stamped BUCK USA, but for $23 I said I wanted it, so she bought it for me. When we got outside I took it out of the bag to look at it closer and realized it was black micarta. It has the stainless spacer, so I`m not sure what year it was made, but I`m excited about it, been looking for one ever since I saw one that mqqn showed me. I`ll post pictures soon.
