I've never been a fan of Spyderco's offerings. I've tried quite a few of them over the past few years, including some of the mid/high end models:
-CF Military
-G10 ParaMilitary2
-Perrin PPT
-Gayle Bradley
-Ti Sage
-Manix2
-Police
-A few others I can't remember at the moment...
The only one that I liked was the Gayle Bradley and I keep it in my truck. I have huge hands and all the others just felt very awkward and "un-ergonomic" to me. Well made, excellent fit and finish, but not comfortable at all.
Today, I received a Delica4 ZDP-189 from a trade that I arranged last week. I wasn't expecting much, but it feels as good in my hand as the small Sebenza I've been carrying for years. Light as a feather and slices better than any pocket knife I've ever owned. If I didn't have such a sentimental attachment to my CRK (gift from a late friend), I'd put it back in the drawer and just carry the Delica everyday. In fact, if I ever lost the Sebenza, I would do just that.
Until I actually held and used it, I would have just dismissed the Delica as a "cheap plastic knife" and never given it a second look. I thought the best sub-$100 EDC knife on the market was the Benchmade Griptilian, but this little Delica has changed my mind. Just a fantastic little tool...
