Finally Gave Up and just ordered one...

I have been trying to find a local shop for 3 months now that has a Mnandi so I could handle one in person so I could decide if it was big enough for me. After so much fail, I finally just gave in ordered one. Hopefully I can live with the size and it will be a keeper. I have have pretty large hands, but I am just in love with the look of these knives.

Congrats. And .... if I haven't said it enough before ..... I love the Mnandi!!! I'm not a real big guy .... but have large hands and the Mnandi feels perfectly comfortable in hand for a small knife.

Unfortunately, this one ended up in disappointment. Really wish I would have been able to see one in person first, but at least I won't loose much in returning it. Oh well...

Really is a beautiful knife, but I am just not a collector. I am a user and I know I won't feel comfortable using this knife... I can kid myself and say I will keep it to carry when I am dressed up but I will just eventually have to get rid of it because I can't stand seeing something just sitting around.

Maybe try using it for a bit first? When I got mine in the mail I also hadn't been able to see one in person. I thought it was incredibly small and wasn't a fan when I got it. Then I put it in my pocket and I realized how capable it is. Yeah - it might not replace a para2 or a large sebbie when it comes to slicing ability, but its an incredibly handy small blade that can handle quite a bit of cutting.

I wear primarily suits / dress pants, and a mnandi is perfect for me. My previous EDC was a para2 / emerson mini cqc15 so it was quite a size transition but I have really grown quite fond of it. You'd be surprised at how well it handles opening packages, cutting steak, etc.

Unfortunately, I wear a suit maybe once very 2-3 years... I love the way the knife looks and it is a solid little guy, just not for me. I really like the idea of having one nice knife, no way is $400 worth of blade gonna sit around waiting for nice occasions...

I don't have anything bad to say about it, but I just don't like it. Probably gonna throw it up on the forum if the place I bought it from doesn't have anything else I want right now. I have already taken pics of it to sell it, but I will sleep on it before orphaning it.
