I think I'm finally getting my outdoor Mojo back, today was the first time in weeks that I've really enjoyed messing about in the woods.

First thing I noticed today was the amazing smell of the blossom on these plum trees. When the plums come they are quite small but taste great...really good bush tucker !

I practiced with the spear trap idea again and lashed two saplings together to see if this would generate more power, it did seem better but after constructing the trap realised that my placement was wrong and I didn't have a tree to attach the trip wire to.....sometimes wonder where my heads at !!!

I came across an Apache throwing star that I'd made a while back, it seemed to be holding up well, here it is with my tools of the day......

The Western White Fawn Lilies were coming into bloom as well, from what I understand a tea can be made from the leaves to be used as an antiseptic wash for cuts and scrapes. The bulbs can also be eaten raw or cooked.

Nah, left it where it was, don't think Mrs Pit would appreciate me collecting skulls !

Cool pic pit, gotta love spring...before the bugs get to their worse anyway. You say that like collecting skulls is a bad thing. I've seen that look in her eyes when she is holding knives in some of your pics...I'm surprised she doesn't collect skulls :D

Sometimes it's tough to get back into it, even for something you love! But your pics are always great

Glad you're feeling better Pit.

I didn't know you had those head shrinker tribes running around BC....

Nice pics 'Ol Bud...looking at the pic of the deer droppings...If I'm not mistaken, looks like you've got a Buck running around. Doe droppings are scattered around & Buck's are usually stuck together (like in the pic) At least thats the way they are in my area.

Great pics, nice to see someone enjoying that beautiful wilderness.

Btw, how did you even think of ruffling through owl poo?...hahaha

Nice photos, thanks for sharing. I cannot wait to get back out in the woods.

That's interesting to know, thanks !
