I finally managed to acquire a BM 42, and thus far I'm quite impressed. It is truly a thing of beauty. It's the lightest balisong I've ever handled. I wish I could bring myself to manipulate it, but it's a collective piece. Anyway, I couldn't ask for a finer addition to my collection.
 
Hey BladeWarrior, you're missing half the fun if you don't manipulate it. Anyway you can get another one in the future, it's not out of production or anything to be a collector's piece.

Okay, I'd be lying if I said I didn't at least test it out. I love the way it handles. It's just a regular production model, but I got a really good deal on it since I found it here on the forums. I do hope to acquire another one since I'd really like a set of this particular model. So, aside from the 42, what is another favoered BM balisong? I also have a 139 and a 239S with black aluminum handles. Thanks for the replies, guys.
 
yes the 40 series is standard. they rule. If you can save up the cash for a user you wont regret it

even skeptical ol me has times when I just have to put the 40 down and just play with the 42 for weeeks. it's a whole new animal in my opinion.
