I finally got a cqc-10 from the exchange and two hours after i open the box i end up in urgent care waiting for stitches. I sliced open my right index finger playing with the knife while on the phone. i always cut myself when i do something stupid like that, it's almost never when i'm using it properly. cut myself between the first and second knuckle and needed two stitches. sorry, no pics of the wound for those who like that sort of thing and pics of the knife will have to wait until i can use my index finger again.

It's true love when your new knife bites you. I had my cqc-11 cut me when I was stropping it. I was shocked! I never cut myself.

I dont know how all these people get so many cuts, but i would be happy to take that very dangerous knife off of you:D

Sounds like a good score congrats, but 2 stitches that's it. Next time disinfect the wound and then butterfly it shut or use superglue to close the wound. I was cutting brush last year with my battle mistress. Whacked a vine too hard went threw it so fast and hit me in the shin. Well that was about 8 or ten stitches worth believe me in 40 years of construction work i've had plenty so i kind of know something about wounds. I just went in the house and taped it up it quit bleeding after a couple of days just lightly from around the butterfly. Sorry to get off track but next time i'd just do it myself unless its really bad.

i usually do just superglue my cuts shut but this one was in a bad spot, too close to the knuckle for something temporary like that to hold.

I cut myself exactly in the same spot you mention on my left had last year, with a sog-tac auto, didnt realize human fat looks like it does. The cut didnt hurt as bad as when the doc stitched it together without numbing it.

Emerson knives come freaking sharp out of the box. I believe there is a little piece of paper inside that says as much. :D
