Hello Andy,
I just received one of your Bushcrafters from Ted Palmer. I've drooled over your blades for quite some time now and after handling it, I have to say it exceeds my expectations. I'm going out of town for a few months, and this blade is coming with me!

These are the pics I have from Ted.

Andy, I think this is one of your sheaths?

Man. That knife still looks good, and that is indeed one of my sheaths. That is the old Bushcrafter Jr. Its got African Blackwood/Osage I think.

Really neato to see it again, and still looking so good too.

I offer a free clean up, re-grind and re-mark service if you're interested. You pay shipping home. Lemme know.

Thanks for the offer Andy, but I really love this blade the way it is. Sometime in the future, I plan on picking up another one from you. But I have to use this one first.

Congrats milani74!
I know how you feel. I just picked up a bushcrafter from the for sale section. Andys work is great. Now I cant wait to see the Bushcrafter w/walnut crotch handle I ordered.

Thank you both for posting in this thread. I love hearing enthusiasm like this!!

It's really cool seeing your progression, Andy.
How old is this knife?
Really cool to see the older ones.

(By the way guys, Iz makes some sweet convex knives as well!! Y'all should check them out. I've asked him to post some pics here, so maybe if y'all help me push him a bit we'll get to see some.)

That's pretty wicked progression in just two years, man. Seriously. I can tell a huge difference in your grinds from then to now.
You're a hell of a guy for saying such nice stuff, bro. I appreciate it.
I'll get off my lazy butt and post up some pics.

Hey Michael. Glad to see you got some local Georgia boy steel. I need to check to schedule, we need to hang out this weekend or next week.

Yea. Its one reason I like to offer the cleanup and re-grind service. I've got 300 more knives under my belt now. The grinds are better. Most of the progress has come since becoming full time. When you are doing this all the time, the things you used to struggle with become second nature. Just finished my taxes. I did 176 knives last year. 7 months of it was full time. My goal for 2010 is 360 knives. 30 a month. I did 27 in January, so I'm already in the hole.

This reminds me.

About time to order another Fiddleback.:) I mean, other than the kitchen knife.

Every time I see an older knife of mine I cringe. :barf: It makes me want to take it out of the guy's hand and confiscate it. I'm sure I'll feel that way about he knives I'm making now in a few short years....or months.
But yeah, you've gotten loads of experience in this past year. It shows in spades on your work now days.
