I was at a gunshow yesterday and picked up an old Olsen K. throwing knife. They were made in Michigan, but I'm not exactly sure on when. (It's used, but I don't care, it throws very nice)

Does anybody know anything about these?

And yeah I'll be popping up some pictures soon too.

Sounds cool!!! Is it one of the symmetrical diamond shaped ones? I've only heard about them briefly and seen a few pictures.

This Is one I've had for quite some time and I'm not sure how Old It Is either but I'd say It's close to 40 year's Old, This one Is 11" OAL, 6 13/16" Blade, 3/16" Thick, I really like It and It's a Great Thrower, Is your's like this one ?

pretty close to mine. The trademark is etched (faintly) and I'm missing half a rivet.

Here's a cellphone pic of it.

The Olsen OK knives were copies of the world famous Tru Balance Throwing knives. Harry was not happy with them and let them know how he felt. Don't know how long the y produced them. I think they hold up ok, the handles seem to be the first thing that falls off.

Yep and there's Lot's of Company's that do that, Just like the Cold Steel Perfect Balance Thrower OAL 13 1/2" and 16 OZ's It's almost an Exact Copy of the Tru Balance "Bowie Axe Throwing Knife # 2 OAL 13 1/2" & 15 OZ's,

I wanted to use those for stage use, but I didn't know how hard it would be to pull that black coating off of them.

I make knives for professional throwers all the time.
Buy quality and cry once.

Yeah, the only problem is that my wife won't be too pleased if I bought a dozen of your knives. (yet) My current problem is trying to convince her to stand in front of the target board.

The other thing that would be amazing, but my only concern is the tip, is to make a nice 18 inch bladed one (about an inch wide, 18 long) for me to swallow, pull out and then throw.

WOW! I didn't realize that Olsen K. thrower is smaller then ColdSteel TFT. As of today, IMO, TFT is the best production thrower.
