Well, I finally decided to bite the bullet and get a Millie. I found one on the exchange here for an unbeatable price especially since it is NIB.

I guess I'm just echoing what others have said with their first Military: it's huge. But, despite it's huge size, it's surprisingly light; only a smidge heavier than my Para 2. The grind lines and overall fit and finish is top notch. It locks up like a champ with no play in any direction and is still pretty smooth. I'm sure it'll get to that buttery smooth level with some break in and lube. Ergos are really good for a big knife. Overall, I'm really pleased with it and can't wait to carry this beast.

and it carries nice too.
I carry mine everyday and it seems to shrink once it is in my pocket.

I had the same first impression when I got my first Military--huge! But it's so comfortable to carry and so ergonomic to use, it's become one of my favorite knives. I love the simplicity of the design and the light weight. I can't decide which I like better, the Mil or the Para 2.

Welcome to the club. The first time I saw one in person I thought "Why would and how could anyone carry one of those?" Then for some reason I bought one a few months later. Now it feels and carries perfectly and other knives seem small.

Congrats on the new Millie! Once you get used to carrying a Millie every else seems small!

I wasn't as surprised by the size as I make it seem. I have bee carrying a Para 2 every day since I got it, so I got used to the size of that. While the Para 2 isn't big by any means, it's bigger than my other long time EDC, the Sage 1. I think that carrying the Para 2 and getting used to it's size kind of prepared me for the Military a little bit. I'm gonna take it on it's maiden EDC voyage tomorrow and see how I like it.

Congrats!

I think a Military is going to be my next knife too.

My current favorite for edc is my Para 2, but I think the Millie would be a nice addition when I'm working out in remote mountainous areas. Never hurts to have a bigger knife to cut your sandwich with eh?

I got to EDC my Millie today. It just disappeared in my pocket. No more noticeable bulk than my Para 2. I tried different styles of carry: right front pocket (usual EDC spot), strong side appendix IWB, weak side appendix IWB and 4:00 IWB. I found that all were really comfortable, but right front pocket and strong side IWB worked best for my needs. The Military definitely has a spot in my EDC rotation along with some hall-of-famers: the Para 2, Delica 4 and Sage I.

That almost exactly echoes my experience with the milli. Thought it was ridiculous when I first saw it, a couple weeks later I bought one, a couple weeks later it became the knife that I compare all others to. After you carry it you no longer think it's too big; you think other knives are too small.
