Stephen at North River is a great person to do business with. I shoot muzzleloaders and needed a period knife. 3 knives and 2 hawks later, I'm still doing business with him..

yeah, I'll be doing more business with him again that's for sure.I have a custom frontier knife idea that I'm looking at getting made. It's cool having a talented frontier-style knife and hawk maker in the next province over.
The hawk arrived yesterday. It's even nicer in person than online.I'm going out hiking/camping tomorrow I'll have a ton of pics of it when I get back.

I smoked it for the first time tonight.really cool.felt like I was back in time smoking my hawk around the fire with some friends.

Sorry for the delay with the pics guys but I've been busy.A promised here's some beauty shots.

I even did some light chopping with it.The smoker works nice in all it's applications.

Really nice hawk. I don't know a lot about the smokers, are the handles weaker since they are drilled out for smoking purposes?

here you go Q.....

It's claimed that the handles are weaker because they're drilled. This hawk is too nice to beat up too much. The maker told me via e-mail that it could handle some light camp work if I needed it to.
