I have been toting SAK's here lately as I have been whittlin', tinkerin', and opening up quite a few beers
. I guess they are an old enough pattern to be traditional, but it isn't the same as a nice slippie with multiple blades and bone scales.
I bought a new SAK just the other day and it hasn't left my pocket until yesterday. I was opening up a box at work and my knife slipped and fell point first into concrete
. It bent and bluted the tip, I just know that wouldn't have happened with a sheepsfoot. So I started off today with a Boker Barlow, then switched to a Case Peanut for lunch, and I am now carrying a Case medium stockman in Amber Bone for the rest of todays chores. Feels good to have a solid slippy in my pocket again.
BTW: After I bent the blade on my Wenger, I switched it for an No.7 Opinel ASAP.
