I've been wanting a Vic SAK with the glass magnifying glass since I bought my first Victorinox. Every one I've ordered has been the newer type plastic one, though. I saw one on Ebay a while back, and didn't order, and ended up regrettingit. The other night surfing Ebay again, I saw a new in box Explorer Plus with the old glass for only $27 +$3 shipping. I couldn't pass it up. It came today, and is as nice as described. The glass is smaller, but I like it better (not that the newer one is bad). With the newer one, it is easier to read lines of text, but the older one is better for focusing in. I'm very happy with this purchase. I think I have a new favorite SAK (at least until the next purchase). Oh, I forgot to ask. I kinda figured this would have the older tang stamp, but this one has the newer tang stamp. Anyone know when the switched from the older stamp to the newer "Victorinox Swiss Made Stainless". The paperwork has a 3-05 printed on it. Thanks for any info.
