I went and waited but finally got a great deal on an AK47(supposed to be used but I can't see it) Anyhoo tonight I was in the mood to sheath it as it has been a "Bill Trap" waiting for me to get close to it ever since I got it. Didn't know how I was gonna do it till tonight as the kydex required was too long for my stove......until I used to heat gun to fold the kydex blank over
After heating up it went into the press just barely but I got everything pressed that I needed. Resulting sheath is formed great and holds the AK snug but not too snug. I still don't know how I am going to mount it yet but 1 idea was to use two Tek Locs to strap it to my pack so I spaced out the holes so a Tek Loc can fit in any location along the sheath. As I was pressing the eyelets it occured to me that this blade would look cool in a Samurai style sword display. Might just have to make something up but that's for another day
