I got in a half dozen more JKM-1s and good little rigs they are. For pix and specs refer to the link below.

The kamis are still not marking this knife for some reason of their own. I'm not sure what it is but I know they have some reason for not marking these models. But the mark does not make the knife. These latest models are up to HI standards -- top quality stuff.
Fit about perfect, magic stone mirror finish, good hardening, good scabbard.

I'm guessing but I believe Kesar made these. He is a very good, steady kami -- just doesn't go in for fancy stuff and is not innovative but he's been with us from day one and has done excellent work all the way.

I checked a couple and my old file tells me Kesar has these hardened up to 58 or 59 Rc and the edge will take a couple of hairs off my arm. He did a very good job on these.

If I owe anybody one of these email me. Remember, I've destroyed two order files so there may be a couple of pending orders I've lost.

In case anybody wants one they run $60 delivered to your door. I have a couple of wood handles and 4 horn so first orders have a choice.

By all means if you don't have one of these then you need one or two.
These are the finest "little" knives that H.I.makes IMO.

When you get one and have some time along with a black/blue and red/green DMT diafold take the hones to the knife and make it into a single edge bevel.
Now you're talkin' about Sharp!!!!!

I'm going to bring a few of the "smaller" knives to the FL convention -- couple of kardas, steel mounted kardas, and a couple of JKM-1s in case anybody wants to wait and pick these up in FL.

And, Bro, as usual you're correct about these. Great little knives and, again, I'm very sorry JKM is not here to see them -- and play with them!

I am looking forward to this one.

It is a classic design with a nice twist. Who knows it might replace the karda for daily carry.

We'll see

When's this Florida Convention? I doubt that I'll have any time off of school or work to go down there, but ya never know.

Well I just got my JKM-1. What a truly beautiful tool. I have passed up quite a few like this in the woodworking store 'cause they lacked a sense of soul. I know that this one will make a great compaion on my treks into the woods, maybe even while siting round a warm fire, doing a little whittling.

I am, as always, surprised by the overall fit and finish (or in this case would it be Finnish?). A real gem of a tool
