I didn't get to go opening day, so I had to do it the hard way, by busting my hump and getting out their every day after they've been spooked....It was a group of does about 80 yards off...I took the first and the biggest!!!!! my gun is a Savage 110 30.06......

Congrats on fresh venison!! I am waiting for the late bow season. I shot a doe up here and a 5 point in Ohio bowhunting.

Most excellent !
Now. If you have time? use it ALL.
Cure the hide etc.
You could make yourself a fine set of brush chaps, moccasins, rifle slings whatever.

right on man... congrats on the deer... venison in the freezer is a good thing...:)

Very cool, I haven't tagged one yet but I put my buddy on to one I saw go down over a hill the day before, so at least I got venison in the freezer :)

WTG BUD !!

On the other side..

Dude, that'd better not be the wife's car... If it is, you're toast !!:D:p;)

Looks like a nice sized doe... How much did she weigh dressed out ??

Way to go bro, I prefer the meat od Does to the meat of Bucks any day, they just taste better and are more tender.

D@mn JC, did you have to go and remind me how bad I'm wanting deer chili...now I've either got to hit the woods or raid my brother's freezer....hmm think I'll just raid the freezer.

Congrats on that fine doe. Good choice on the rifle. I havent got one yet, I will try again friday then I wait till late muzzle loader. IN what county did you kill it?

Congrats. Although, you say it was the biggest? I probably would have shot the smallest. :o They taste better, IMO. And between my dad, brother and myself we usually get 6 or so. (None yet, but shotgun hasn't opened yet)

thanks......no that was my father in law's car he had just pulled up as I was gutting her and said "hell just grab a tarp and put her in the back". Yeah mistwalker does are the best meat, although I did see a very nice 8 point that I have 7 more days to get, I'm dying to get back out there........
