Finally got my custom in, looks like they come with a new stamp

The blurry pictures don't really do the buffalo horn justice, but it gives a nice vague representation. I was surprised that it came with a 50th anniversary stamp on the s30v steel.

That's the stamp they are using on the 2014 regular production 50th year as of Feb. I think(if I'm wrong someone will soon correct me). Don't know about customs though.
 
Is that actually stamped in the blade or is it lasered?? Can't tell from your pictures.

One of my user 110's is a custom shop smooth buffalo/S30V/NS just like yours. :thumbup::thumbup:

You're right, it is actually lasered. I love the smooth buffalo, I just wish that it wasn't so expensive on the 500 series for some reason. Do you think they would take the 37 dollar 110 buffalo and cut it in half on for the 501 for me?
 
I was wondering if they would come with anniversary blades. Might have to buy one or few this year. Gotta say I don t like the etched stamps though my new dorado is that way. Just looks cheap to me. Wish they would stamp them.

Seems like I read something about the S30V and laser etching instead of stamping.
I believe it was saying that stamping both sides was risky.
My Dorado in S30V is also laser etched on both sides.
