I finally got my first busse. a nmsfno, muddy brown with black/red g10 (i'll post pics after I get off work). I was very impressed after handling the knife. it Feels alot different from any knife i've held. I tend to want to baby things, but I figured this was going to be the first of many (or be the reason It was the last one I ever purchased), so I wanted to give it a good solid test run for what I plan to use it for. I never paid this much for a knife, but I was determined to put it to the test. See if it was worth the price. Certainly not a destruction test, and I definitely didnt want to abuse it. I had a cook out/ bonfire last night and all the wood I used was processed with this knife. a lot of batoning and things of that nature, with some very dense wood. I swear it got sharper as the night went on! I love this thing! after the night I brought it inside and gave her a bath haha. still very sharp, but there were some, I guess you would call them burrs on the edge of the curved section of the blade (nothing wrong with the belly what-so-ever). Maybe missing a few swings and hitting a rock, or plowing through knots. I stropped it on some leather with some red compound for a while (didn't really know what color I should use and got most of it worked out. I am pretty new and unskilled at that sort of thing I've really only used some lansky keychain sharpeners on tops knives, but I really wanted to clean up the edge. I was wondering if anyone had some tips on stropping, sharpening, techniques, materials Things of that nature. I'm sure there are some threads on this somewhere. I saw the tips on the mojo site, is this a asymetrical edge? It will slice paper, so I'm not worried about making it sharper. the belly has no issues, most of the burrs were on the curved edge (insert technical term) Just want to clean er up, i'm in no hurry, I dont want to use heavy grits or things like that (if it can be avoided). I like to remove as little material as possible. that being said, I absolutely am in love with this blade. wouldn't mind having another dozen! I've learned alot from everyone on this forum already, and figured this was the place to have this discussion. THANKS!
