I say it is my first, because it is definitely not going to be my last. It was described to me as a "slippery slope" by Mike Wood (thatmguy) at the Indy 1500 Gun and Knife Show, and that seems to be true considering I am planning my next one.

Mike sold me a beautiful (albeit nothing fancy) ASHBM. I say it's nothing fancy because I have seen some absolutely gorgeous Busse Knives that came from the custom shop. The Battle Mistress was the first Busse Knife I ever saw or heard of (infamous knifetests.com torture test) and I knew then that I had to have one.

I went and had a custom Shark Tac sheath made right there at the show, and came out just under the cost of an arm and a leg, and I couldn't be happier. I am definitely a Busse freak now.

It is a slippery slope, indeed my friend! But don't worry-food, shelter, clothing-all over rated!

Congrats and welcome to the madness....there is a small niche market for vital organs once the CC's are maxed.....:D

The Misstresses....you just can't go wrong..... Everyone ought to have one. Got one (nmfbm), will never part with it.

Congrats and welcome!

But, if you have been lurking here for three years, then you must know that WE WANT PICS!!!

Same here adams, first Busse i heard of was the battle mistress from the same video... I have yet to get one

Congrats on your first Busse knife! My first one was a Basic 9, over 12 years ago - I still have it, and a few more too.

Thanks all.

I will get a couple pictures up tomorrow when I get my new phone (better resolution camera) so I can do it as much justice as possible within the capabilities of a camera phone.

I think my next one will either be a Steel Heart variant, or a TGLB. Or maybe one from the custom shop. Who knows!

I haven't gotten a good chance to try it out in the woods, but hopefully I can get some good shots of it in action this Saturday after I finish making a couple knives for some guys at work.

I appreciate the kind words.

Congrats !!! The ASHBM are awesome blades  and you won't be disappointed with a TGLB either. But don't think it will stop there :) :):)
