So, I've been thinking about buying a Spyderco on and off for the last 15 years or so. Never bought one - either for nit-picking reasons or for my interest drifting elsewhere. Then a few weeks ago I woke up and realized that the VG10 Caly 3 was out of production. From having some borrowed hand-time, I thought knife was as close to perfection as I could hope for and I had figured it would always be around, so I never bought one. Luckily I was able to score a used one. This has opened the flood gates. I want more!!!!! Unfortunately, I don't think my sharpening systems are up to snuff (the best one I have is an AG Russell system similar to a Sharpmaker, but with only a 30-degree option) for some of "better" steels (S30V comes to mind). So, I'm thinking I need some sort of Salt, and a Native 4 (if I can find one), and maybe a Caly 3.5. If I could handle the S30V and similar steels without buying another costly sharpening system, I would love to have a Dodo (good luck with that one), Mini Manix (another hard one to find), Native 5, Chaparral, Yojimbo 2, I want, I want, I want, yada yada yada.
