finally got my Knife Engineering Book - Thanks Larrin

What was Cliff Stamp talking about? I'd like to read it. Are there links to Cliff's stuff?

Cliff had a website which is now defunct. You can still see some of the old content through the Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20210711021433/http://www.cliffstamp.com/knives/

He also had a YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/CliffStamp

There was also an attempt to keep a forum alive of those that participated on his old forum: https://www.beyondt01micron.com/

Now that you're properly hooked, you need Larrin's other book, The Story of Knife Steel.
I only can get the hardcover for AU$ 185 here from Amazon.com.au ....that's approx. US$ 119....for this money it needs a personal signature from the King of Nerds ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚ ....(seriously, I will put it on the list...)

also seriously: the Knife Engineering book is really a bargain for the money you have to pay on Amazon (Amazon.com: US$ 24, Amazoncom.au: AU$ 65) considering the (easy understandable!) knowledge outlined by Larrin - once you get a better understanding about quality of different steels and the impact of edge geometry you may treat your knife differently, and you will get very likely more out of your knife, and / or buy exactly the knife you want in the first place....

Eta: corrected the price in US$....
