I have a new addition.:) I finally got the Mora 2000 I had been wanting. It's better than I thought. I love everything about it. It's super light weight, grippy handle, holes in the bottom of sheath (drainage ?), love the color because it's different, cheap $32.00. What a great looking, great feeling knife. Hats off to Mora.

Welcome to the Mora club. The 2K is a great blade and I never go anywhere on the water without it.

I've already bought ten Moras, and I just got into knives as a passion two months ago.

Most of mine cost $12.00.

Looks nice. Moras are fun to buy, work great and won’t break the bank. I am deciding between the Bushcraft force or 2000 for my next Stainless Mora though have a 511 and 546G heading my way in the mail. I am unsure about the grind on the 2000. Can it be sharpened like a full scandi?

The drain holes in the sheath have a dual function, when trying to get a fire started you can blow through the sheath to generate a higher flow of air. It works great and I use it often in fire making.

The grind of this knife does make it a bit harder to sharpen, still sharpened like any other scandi but you need to use more control through the belly/tip area.

I used to think the M2000 was the ugliest knife out there. To me, the color and materials made it look like a toy. Now it's one of my favorite fixed blades and the weirdish look has grown on me. It used to be my hiking/camping knife but it's been replaced with a smaller and lighter mora for that. The M2000 is now part of my canoeing kit and gets carried in a sealed 3.5 gallon bucket that goes in the canoe with me every time I paddle. Great knife.

Thanks, I did not know, nor would have thought to use the sheath to facilitate fire making.

I don't know why, but I loved the look of it when I first saw it (on the computer), I really love it in person.
I too was thinking this would make an excellent canoe knife, plastic sheath with drain holes to shed any water and not retain moister, lightweight, It almost seems like it would float, I have to check into that.

Thanks for all the comments and info, I am a Mora Fan for sure.:)
