I just love the looks of the composite blade on these and finally found a nice one. It's probably not a good edc but I just got it to look at and fondle. Anyone know how many of these they made? Excuse me while I get back to my fondling.

I've never seen or heard of that knife, that thing is rad! What a beauty, congrats on getting one of your grails.

Awesome! Congratz on your find! I only have production numbers for the Orange and the G-10 Versions. Maybe someone will chime in and help us out.

I was in Atlanta when the Tyrade model 1850 won the 2007 Blade Show "Overall Knife of the Year". Liked 'em so much, I bought 5 of them. :o I seem to recall that 2000 were made. Can anyone confirm?

Congrats on the score! I would love to get a G10 model for edc, all my knives are users....ok, most are users;)

I too have never heard of or seen this blade. It is very nice. Congratulations on getting it :)

I bought one a couple years ago, and accidentally dropped it in a parking lot. Some scrapes on the handle, no edge damage, but ever since then, I've been happy to carry it, and have enjoyed the beauty.

The Tyrade will always be one of my favorite Kershaws! If it weren't for me trying to hunt down the orange models, I never would have started collecting at all.

Thanks for all the great quotes guys. That orange is awsome. I didn't realize that the Tyrade was overall blade of the year. I'll have to go back through the old Blade Mags.

spec bump is the mini, then the tyrade, then the ZT 350 - the largest. All three are great.

This is Ken Onion at his prime + Kershaw at its prime.

Hands down one of my all time favorite production folders, or folders in general for that matter. Everything was done right on this knife.

Congratulations!
