My new toy arrived today, about 10 minutes ago...

... a CGFBM in Tan/Snakeskin. I love it. My wife was on the 'phone to her mother when it arrived. Her comment was, "I think he's lost it!" Probably due to my maniacal grin as I swung the knife around.

I'm surprised at how light it feels (never held one before). The standard handles only just fit; now I know why a lot of folks get the magnums. And I've got quite small hands. They *do* just fit though, so it's OK. and I like the snakeskin.

I got it from a great guy in Sweden, from another forum (BB). It's completely unused, but...

It's going to be a User!

I really need to show it some proper love. Typical that it's raining and nasty cold today in my part of England. I'm sure the FBM wouldn't mind at all, but I do!

Come on Sun...

Anyway, just wanted to celebrate my new-found joy! The first of however many I can sneak past my wife.

FBMs are the top of the food chain. Make sure to feed it regularly. They get hungry often, and don't like to wait to be fed. Nice call on the snakeskin. It's awesome on the fusion handles.

I have really small hands and my FBM with snakeskin regular handles fits really well. I just got a Muddy/Tan Mag FBM and let me tell you, try the mag handles when you get a chance. They feel incredible in the hand. There's a lot of micarta to hang onto there.

Thank you all for the congratulations. The knife has hardly left my hand since I got it this morning. My wife definately thinks I've gone nuts.

Now I've got to get some (more) paracord to make a D-guard. And a sheath, but that might have to wait because I want to piggyback a smaller knife with the FBM. I'm thinking of the new BA TAC in matching colours.
