First off, hello all. Long time lurker around here. I've been quite a fan of RAT/ESEE cutlery for awhile, but haven't picked up any of their products. Until now.

I just received my first Izula today (desert tan with the additional micarta handles). It fits great in my hand, and seems like the perfect size for EDC. I can't wait to put the handles on and get to work with this little beast.

I also saw a previous post about a belt clip in the works for this knife. Any idea on a release date for it?

I have a feeling that this won't be my last ESEE knife purchase, as in addition to the 3 and possibly the 4, I'm doing my best to hold off purchasing another folder until the Izula folder comes out.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Just got my first izula too. the slabs are a must have if you ask me. a great little knife, hope you enjoy it as much as i do.

I have a 4 and my izula is in the mail. I can't wait to get it. It will replace my benchmade for EDC(at least thats the plan). Hope you enjoy.

Thanks. I need to pick up a couple of smaller allen wrenches so that I can put the handles on.

I tried the Izula out in the pocket, and it just disappears in there. I was a little unsure about carrying it there for EDC, but with the ease with which it fits the pocket, I think I'm going to be trying it out that way.

I love my Izula for EDC. I also have a Murray Carter Neck Knife, which is the best all around cutter and slicer of all my knives, but I still love carrying my Izula more. At only 50 bucks, it doesn't matter what you do to it, so I don't feel hesitant at using it for any reason. My Murray Carter was expensive, so I tend to hold back a little bit with it, but my Izula gets a lot of action.

I enjoy neck knife carry for my Izula, but not everyone likes carrying a knife that way. Also, have you thought about a paracord wrap job on your handle? Here is a pic of mine, although quite a bit of the coating is removed now with all the use...

who ever came up with the idea of ESEE & Becker coming together to make a knife was a genius. the BK14 is going to be freakin sweet.

i know im excited about it. and if anyone hasn't seen it, they need to go look.:)
