Finally got out for some fun in the woods.

Finally got out to the family ranch for some fun time, I packed up all the toys and headed out with the wife and kid and my buddy Jeff.
We cleaned up our regular campsite some, in anticipation of this falls drop in temps... trimmed some scrub and collected some rocks to beef up the fire pit.

Broke out the 9 the take care of the cedar scrub. It was easier and faster than either the clipper, machete, or the bow saw.

Finished off the day with the family dove hunt.. My son's first one this year :)

Had the grill going with venison sausage and the occasional slow dove, slathered with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon... tasty!

Had a great day, all in all.. Knife fun, check. Gun fun, check. Beer and Sausage, check... Great day indeed.

I'm right down the street from you :) I used to commute to Mopac and Braker Lane 6 days a week from the west side of San Antonio... Our ranch is kind of near Bandera TX, Bandera is worth checking out if you have never been..
